We have a dedicated service charge team who have extensive experience in the preparation, certification and audit of service charge accounts and we work closely with Residential Managing Agents locally and regionally to deliver a fully outsourced accounting function.

Residential Service Charge specialists

We look to develop close working relationships with the residential managing agents we work with. This way we fully understand your requirements as residential managing agents, and we can tailor our services to meet your needs. As Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) Partners we are kept up to date with changes in regulations and have the opportunity of keeping in close contact with our clients to make sure we always understand their needs and requirements.

Some of the services we can provide for RMA’s include:

Residential Service Charge Accounts preparation

We will ensure that your accounts are available for tenants within six months of the year end to comply with both the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and the requirements of your membership of ARMA (ARMA-Q). 

Audit of service charge accounts

Many residential leases contain requirements for audited service charge accounts to be prepared each year. An “audit” requires special considerations and must be carried out in accordance with International Auditing Standard, ISA800.  If you require an audit of service charge accounts, contact us. We will prepare our audit or certification report to your accounts in accordance with best practice guidance, TECH03/11 AND THE 3RD RICS Residential Management Code.

Capital Allowances & Capital Gains

Property management is a sector that requires professional technical expertise and our team have many years’ capital allowances & capital gains experience of supporting and advising letting agents & resident management companies.
